Searching more reliability on medical research and diagnose
When the worker's hospital kinesiologist talked to us about this project they said that they need a device for testing the stability of patients with injured proprioceptors that didn´t give any previous signal. The main problem in similar devices was that the mechanism that frees the platform produces a little vibration just before the platform fall. This signal causes the patient to take action to prevent the unbalance.
So what we did was rethink the whole structure to provide an illusion of stability, based on the structure of a foot.
The platform was supported by three vertical elements two of them swivel and the other was a simple support, a solenoid hide below the platform remove this support, causing the fall of the surface, faster than the patient can react.
